2014- Recipient of the Haagen-Smit Prize, awarded annually to an outstanding paper published in Atmospheric Environment, as co-author of the paper: Putaud, J.-P. et al., A European aerosol phenomenology—2: chemical characteristics of particulate matter at kerbside, urban, rural and background sites in Europe, Atmos. Environ., 38, 2579-2595, 2004.

Global changes: climate -air pollution interaction:

Physical and chemical processes in multiphase atmospheric systems (aerosols and clouds) and their effects on atmospheric composition change and climate.

Composition and properties of organic aerosol.

She is /was Principal Investigator in 11 several scientific projects funded by National and European Union.

1. She is member of the Scientific Steering Committee, The International Surface Ocean - Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) project.
2. Presently she is serving as member, Review Panel, Chemical Sciences Division, Earth System Research Laboratory, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Boulder and Member, Scientific Advisory Board, Max Plank Institute for Chemistry, Mainz, Germany
3. She was Lead Author, Working Group 1 (The Physical Science Basis) of the 5th Assessment Report - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Member of Council of the European Geochemistry Society, Member of Scientific Steering Committee, International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Programme (IGAC).
4. Member, Editorial Commission of the American Association for Aerosol Research
